Summer Wear

Happy Friday everyone!

As the weather continues to get nicer, and Summer is truly in the air, I am finding myself jump to Summer outfits! Although San Diego is always sunny, I do tend to save part of my wardrobe for just the Summer season. I'm not one to show off too much skin, but sometimes I do let myself go for the little crop top and shorts look.

I picked up this adorable crop top and these light wash recycled denim shorts from Urban Outfitters, and they are perfect for these hot days. Like I said, I'm not huge on showing too much skin so I had to throw on this little kimono/robe from Anthropologie. I love how delicate and feminine this piece is, with some lovely lace trim, and a little tie if I want to have it tighter at the bust.

I also had to bring these tall gladiators back out for this look. I know some people just don't get these shoes (including my family, who always give me a hard time when I wear them), but I love how unique they are. To top off the look I threw on my beautiful Free People leather backpack and some jewels.

Outfit details below, and many more Summer looks to come!

Local Finds

Hello readers!

So after my recent move I have been slowly exploring all that this new city has to offer. I have been told what great thrift shopping there is around here, but I didn't believe it until I went myself! I forgot how much fun it is to find great second hand or vintage pieces that work in your own closet.

I made my way into a cute little store called Home Clothing and found a beautiful collection of both new and second hand clothing. I saw these little booties right away and of course they were my size! These babies looked like they had never been worn and they were only $15!! I ended up finding an adorable dress, and this romper too! I love the colors of this romper, and the length is great for taller girls like me. It's comfortable, flowly, and such a steal!

The store I went to is fairly small and they don't have a website, not to mention all of the pieces are unique, so I can't share the exact pieces I got. However, I encourage everyone to check out their local second hand shops and see what cool pieces they can find!

Thanks for reading loves!

Take Me To The Beach

Hello loves!!

Today's post is all about my favorite new piece in my all time favorite place to be: the beach! I recently moved to a more coastal city in San Diego county, and I am so thankful to have the ocean right in my back yard. I typically make it down to the beach several times a week, even if it's just for a nice walk after breakfast. There is something so calming about the ocean, and a large portion of my wardrobe is perfect for days at the beach. I have also been waiting for the perfect piece to blog about at the beach, and this Free People maxi top hit the spot for me!

I saw this top in the Free People April catalog in black and I fell in love immediately. However, once I saw it in white in person I was officially sold. First off, let's talk about this cut. The uneven maxi style top, with slits up the entire sides, AND a peek-a-boo in the back. It's simply amazing. The detailing on the entire front side of the top is so beautiful too. I have been so careful about getting it snagged on things, and I only hand wash this one. I have mostly been wearing this top over some boyfriend style jeans, but today I was loving it with some denim shorts!

These One Teaspoon shorts are my go-to denim short this season. I love the distressed look on the bottom, and the nice length of the shorts. It can be hard to find cute denim shorts that cover your whole booty these days, but these ones are long enough to make me feel comfortable.

With the beautiful ocean behind me, I didn't think the outfit needed much more (besides some silver and turquoise jewelry of course). I obviously had to be barefoot, because if you're at the beach you got to have your toes in the sand.

Outfit details below!! xo

My Weekend in Montana

Hello! I hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a wonderful Cinco De Mayo today. I work very random hours at my job, so today and tomorrow happen to be my weekend :) I know its a little delayed, but I would like to share some of my pictures from my trip to Montana last weekend!

Since I started my blog, I have also been very inspired by photography. I inherited my dad's old camera (which I also had to fix up quite a bit), and I have enjoyed using it not only for my blog pictures, but on any trip I have been on. I actually have found that I love to be behind the camera and take pictures (although they are very amateur). I included a few pictures of the beautiful scenery around where I was staying, and a few pictures from the wedding I attended. But first, I had to take a few blog pics of course. I love this Free People dress and the beautiful back details. For this shoot, I decided to adventure out into the small town where my best friend lives and search for some beautiful walls! I love the old red brick buildings, because we really don't see that much in San Diego. I also found some beautiful flowers and adorable little homes! I loved getting to adventure around in a new place and I always love to see how other people live in other parts of the US (and the world). The life in Montana is much more simple, with a lot less people, and a lot less traffic. I definitely understand why many people like to head there to get some peace and quiet away from all the noises of a city.

Now for the wedding... My best friend from High School got married! She moved out to Montana for college, and ended up staying there after graduation and marrying a wonderful man! The wedding was beautiful, and I am so happy for her and this new chapter in her life. I actually got to stay at the wedding venue, and it was so great. The view (above and below) of the snow capped mountains was breath taking, and there were horses and cows everywhere! I included a few pictures of my handsome date (my boyfriend who was wonderful enough to fly out and meet me for the wedding), my best friend, and my mom! I was also honored to be one of the 8 bridesmaids in the wedding, and I included a picture of the beautiful bride and all of us from San Diego.

I know I typically just write about clothes on this blog, but I just had to share this wonderful experience. I love being pleasantly surprised by new places and new adventures in life, Montana is probably a place I would have never visited if it weren't for my best friend being there, but I am so happy I had this opportunity, and I am always down to see a new place that I have never been. If any of you get the chance to even drive through the state, I would highly recommend it!

Thanks for reading :)
