Sundays are for Soft Pants

Happy weekend-ing readers!!

I am such a big fan of pieces that are fashionable yet deceivingly comfortable, so I had to share my latest obsession: the soft pant. Soft pants are so huge right now, and there are so many different styles out there. They are so fun because they can be dressed up or down, patterned or solid, and various lengths. I have been searching for a fun pair for the fall, and these Cleobella pants were perfect!! I knew they would be great quality because of the brand, but the pattern and the fit are what did it for me. Oh and the fact that they were on sale of course...

For relaxing summer days I have been throwing these on with simple tops and some sandals for a casual look. However, in the fall I see myself wearing the pants with booties, a tight top, and an edgy jacket on top.

What are you all thinking of the soft pants trend? Too much like pjs, or a sneaky way to be comfortable and look chic doing it?

xoxo

Red Hot

Hello lovelies!!

I hope everyone is having an awesome week! I have been outside enjoying the last moments of this sweet summer, and shopping away of course. I have been eyeing this red maxi skirt at Free People for weeks, and I finally had to grab it! The slits on the sides make it so light and perfect for a hot day, and the color is so fun.

That night when I got home from work I also had received some of my most recent online orders, and this For Love & Lemons bra was waiting at my house. First of all.. this bra is ON SALE!! I know it's not the easiest to style (besides wearing it to bed or underneath a shirt), but I knew what to do with it right away. I grabbed a little white tank and threw it on underneath. This worked out perfect, still allowing the beautiful flower details to stand out, while also allowing the top to look more like a top and not a bra.

I threw on my new booties and was ready for a beautiful day in the sun. Speaking of my booties... they were featured on the Free People Instagram yesterday!! It felt so amazing to be noticed by a brand that I love so much (and work for), and it was great to get so much exposure! My hard work is definitely paying off, and I'm having such a blast sharing my love for fashion with everyone.
SO many exciting things to come!

Dressing up Distressed Denim

Hello readers!!

As I have mentioned, here in San Diego it is hard to believe fall is truly approaching with all of this sunshine, but I am still finding ways to transition into fall styles. I am loving some distressed denim right now, and it can definitely act as a great transition piece. I have been living in these One Teaspoon distressed jeans. I had been eyeing them for a few months before ordering them online, especially because they come in so many colors, but the deep blue took the cake for me. What's great about having such holey jeans is that they are very light and breezy and perfect for warm weather when you still want to wear jeans.

I paired these jeans (and leather belt to hold them up) with a white crochet top, and a lovely gold layered necklace. To dress up the look a little more I threw on my strappy Free People heels. I love pairing these jeans with some booties or chunky heels, because I feel like it takes a super casual jean to a whole new level. Throw on a cute cargo jacket and you have yourself an adorable fall look! But for now, no jacket needed!

Hope this gave you all some ideas about how to dress up some of your casual denim.

Fall Transition

Let's talk about this whole seasons thing... Living in San Diego makes it pretty rough to imagine wearing anything but shorts and tank tops, but as August continues the fall season is truly approaching, and along with the new season comes new fashion!! Working in the fashion world I have gotten to see first hand how quickly companies begin to push the next season. I have been watching so many fall pieces flow into my Free People store. Although right now it is still very much summer weather in San Diego, I decided to start building my fall wardrobe, but in a way that works for this weather.

The weather is still so hot out, so instead of jeans, booties, and a chunky sweater, I am grabbing fall colored pieces that can be styled for 90 degrees. A perfect example is this vegan leather mini skirt! I LOVE the color of this skirt, and right away I pictured it with a soft, white tee and some brown booties. I love how this white tee (that I've been living in) makes the look much more casual, and summer appropriate. I layered up a few necklaces to pull the look together (and because I always have to wear jewelry of course).

Oh and, THESE SHOES.... These babies are my first fall booties for the upcoming season, and I can't get enough of them. I love the woven leather at the top, and the color is perfect for any fall look. They are very comfortable (with a thick chunky heel), and the heel isn't too tall for me! These booties take this fall look to the next level, and you will definitely be seeing a lot of them in the upcoming months.

Hope this gives you all some ideas for dressing in the fall when it's still hot out! More styles to come!

August Blues

Happy August lovelies!

This summer has flown by, but it's no where near over (especially here in San Diego). It's crazy how fast fashion moves, and how much fall looks are being pushed right now. Although it's hard to imagine any sort of cold weather while it's still blazing hot in San Diego, I have caved and started to collect some new fall looks already. However, I do a have a few more summer looks to share with you all!

I went shopping up in the LA area with my boyfriend and his family over the weekend, and I found some great pieces at a little boutique. I am a sucker for any paisley print with a clear 70's influence. This halter top reminded me of a funky bandanna, and it is perfect for this summer heat. I also found this lovely knitted crossbody bag at the same store. I have been searching for a cute (and affordable) knitted bag for a few months, and this one was adorable and a steal! Not to mention it also has a 70's feel to it (which I'm clearly into right now).

To complete the look I threw on my favorite Free People denim flares and some chunky wedges. Add some cute sunglasses and turquoise jewelry and you've got yourself a cute, casual summer look!
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for some of my summer >> fall transition looks.

xoxo
