A Lovely Print in a Lovely Place

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I just got back from the most amazing trip to the Mid West to visit a bunch of my family. I have grown up going there every single summer, and it's always the highlight of my year. When I tell people all excitedly that I am going to Wisconsin they usually don't quite understand how fun this trip really is for me. I was born and raised in San Diego, and the Mid West is so different in so many ways. I love taking a break from my life here and completely unplugging. Wisconsin is full of luscious, green woods, yummy food, amazing lakes, and beautiful scenery. Luckily for me, I get to experience all of these things when I go. The best part is that when I do all of these things I am surrounded by family the whole time!

One of my cousins (and best friends) is an amazing photographer, and I knew I had to ask her to take some pictures of me while I was there! One day we decided to head over to a local barn that was filled with tons of gardens, brick buildings, and adorable benches and chairs at every turn. I bought this printed romper from Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago, and I have been so obsessed! The print immediately reminded me of something that Spell Designs would make, and I have been dying for one of those lovely prints (but haven't have the money to make such a big purchase). This romper was a good price, and the fit is so cute!

The elastic at the bust hits perfectly on my tall body, and for once the shorts are not too short for my long legs! The piece buttons up the whole front, which is nice because it allows for several different looks (and is pretty convenient when you need to go to the bathroom). I unbuttoned it about half way and threw on a little cami underneath. The weather was so beautiful out this day so I knew I had to go with some strappy sandals (which I have a lot of). I threw on my favorite black ones by Faryl Robin x Free People, and it was perfect! Of course I had to add some turquoise and some silver rings to the fit, and I decided to wear my chunkiest turquoise pieces because I didn't wear a necklace with this one.

This outfit was perfect for exploring this beautiful barn, and after this I wore the outfit out in Madison (the state capitol) and walked around there all day in the sun!

I will be sharing more from my trip later this week! Thanks for reading and outfit details are below as usual :)

Jumpsuit Love

Hello readers!

I have some great posts planned for this month, and I can't wait to share them with you all! I'd like to start with this adorable denim jumpsuit by Lovers and Friends. I bought this piece right before my 23rd birthday in April and I wore it on my special day! I got so many compliments and it has been one of my go-to pieces ever since.

As I mentioned in my last post, I am going denim crazy lately, and I am loving all of the unique ways denim is being incorporated into clothing (bringing it back to the 70's). These days it seems like you can find denim anything! It is so classic, yet in a piece like this jumpsuit you will definitely stand out. This jumpsuit fits me so perfectly, with an adorable open back, and legs that hit right at the floor (on my 5'8" body). Also, IT HAS POCKETS!! I am a sucker for anything comfortable and with pockets; it makes the look so effortlessly cute and casual.

I paired the jumpsuit with a lovely Free People necklace (silver, of course), and my strappy black Faryl Robin x Free People sandals. I also wanted to go bold with the lips to add just a little edge to the look, so I went bright red!

I will definitely continue to play around with the denim in my wardrobe, and I suggest you all do too! Don't be afraid to try something new :)

Denim Daze

Hey everyone!

So, I spent my weekend up in Northern California with my boyfriend's family, and boy was it hot up there! I took some time to lay outside, and I was loving getting to pull out fun pieces like this denim romper.

I have been collecting some great denim pieces lately, and my obsession with jumpsuits and rompers made purchasing this piece a no-brainer. Rompers are perfect for hot weather, and so easy to throw on for a complete outfit! I found this one and knew it was perfect for me. I don't have too many halter pieces, so I loved that aspect of this piece, and the low back is just so cute. I paired the romper with a soft halter bra that worked perfectly in the front, and I think the simple strap in the back is very delicate and doesn't take away from the outfit at all.

These black strappy sandals are so great! I usually tend to buy brown or tan sandals, and I've been looking for a short pair of black ones. I found these adorable vegan leather sandals designed by Faryl Robin, and I have been wearing them non-stop! The sandals go with pretty much any outfit, and they are so comfortable.

I had to throw on some of my silver and turquoise to pull the look together, and any wrap or sweater would be adorable if it got chilly out!
