Summer Colors

Hey everyone!

I have been sick all week, and this intense San Diego heat didn't help.. But I still made time to get out in the sun and show off a cute outfit. Whenever I get sick I get so tired of laying around the house so I make sure to get dressed up and go out in an outfit that will make me feel good (so at least I can feel good on the outside). With the weather so hot I also find myself changing clothes several times a day because I feel gross in anything I wear after a few hours. I have been grabbing shorts, light weight tops, and strappy sandals. But I wanted to bring this lovely Novella skirt back onto the blog paired with a cute, colored crop.

I will never get over the amazing print of this Novella Royale skirt (or anything else that they make), and with so many colors in the print I have found myself gravitating toward some really fun colored tops. I just picked up this spandex, off the shoulder top at Free People, and the pair was so comfortable and surprisingly cool. The skirt is so flowy, and the top actually seemed to cool me down in the heat. I wore my strappy Faryl Robin sandals and some silver jewelry, and called it a day!

Hope you all enjoy and are staying cool in the heat!

Feelin' Groovy

Hello loves!!

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone had a great week! Sorry for the late post this week... I was shooting for the blog earlier this week and my camera totally freaked out. Luckily I was able to get it fixed pretty quick, and just in time for the weekend!
So I absolutely had to share my newest obsession... this Spell Designs off the shoulder top! I have touched on this company in past posts and how badly I wanted a new piece from their line in my closet...and here it is!!

I was shopping at a local boutique in Del Mar (who carries the best designers) and this piece was put into my fitting room as a suggestion from the stylist. Of course I had to try it on, and the second I looked in the mirror I knew I was going to buy it. I am dying over this funky, purple gypsy print, and who doesn't love a good off the shoulder crop top.. am I right? This piece was a bit of a splurge for me, but I have already worn it several times and I can't wait to continue to play around with it.

Now let's talk about this lovely denim skirt from Urban Outfitters... Denim skirts are back you guys!! I have been seeing them on my favorite bloggers and in so many stores, and I had to jump on the train! I am a sucker for anything high-waist-ed, and I love how retro the skirt looks. I feel like I just walked out of a time machine from the 70's (my mom looked at me and said she thinks she owned the exact same outfit in the 70's), and I love it! I had to go with the retro theme and throw on my favorite Free People clogs, which brought the whole look together! What do you all think of these 70's looks circling right back to 2015?!

Hope you all enjoyed, and outfit details are below!!

Free People Fair Day

Hello loves!!

Those of you who know me know that I am currently working at a Free People store in San Diego (and loving it). It is so much fun working with beautiful clothes and getting paid to help style girls who come into the store. I always knew I had a passion for the fashion industry, but it wasn’t until I started this job that I was really exposed to all of it. This job was actually the thing that inspired me to start this blog in the first place and to share my love for clothes with all of you! I have met the most awesome girls working for this company, and I have also gotten to run the Instagram for my store, which has been such a blast. On top of all of that, we also get to run around in the new clothes and take pictures whenever we want!

Last week a bunch of us met up at the Del Mar Fair in San Diego and ran around in the sun all day showing off some of the newest product. We had a friend (and very talented photographer) join us and take pictures of us as we ventured around. We had so much fun playing games, going on rides, eating cotton candy, and watching miniature pig races, all while wearing the latest FP gear. I thought I would share a few of the pictures with all of you and at least touch on the outfit I was wearing!

If you can't spot me right away look for the bright red romper... I seriously can’t get enough of rompers right now, and I love how this one is like a skort in the front and has the most beautiful open back detail. I wore a strappy bralette underneath and threw on my standard strappy brown sandals. Besides the strange tan lines I had after wearing this piece, I loved it and the pop of color it brought to the pictures. As for the rest of the beautiful clothes you see on my friends… you can find them all on freepeople.com!

I would also like to share a link to the Free People Bldg 25 Blog because a picture of me made it onto the blog (feat. a red, white, and blue outfit for the 4th), and I’m kind of geeking out about it! It's at the very bottom of the page under Free People UTC :)

I hope you enjoy the pictures! My outfit details are below. To see a few more pics go follow the store Instagram @freepeopleutc!!
Also, check out our photographer’s website because he’s amazing!!

Tropical Print

Hello lovely readers!!

I have been dying to share this dress with you all, and finally its time! I've been swooning over all of the tropical prints out this season. I'm seeing palms, tropical flowers, and beautiful prints that make me want to take a Hawaiian vacation... and I knew I had to have one. Last weekend when I was in the Mid West I stopped at an Urban Outfitters, and they have started to carry (and collaborate with) one of my favorite brands: For Love & Lemons!! This company started by making lingerie and beautiful intimates, however they later ventured into clothing, and I am loving every bit of it. They are known for making very lacy, feminine pieces, but when I saw this tropical little dress, I melted.

The back details of the dress are gorgeous, and it is so surprisingly comfortable. I immediately knew that I had to go with bright red lips for the look, and some new sunnies. I curled my hair, but ended up throwing it into a loose bun for a delicate look. I kept the jewelry simple, with my standard silver pieces, and I ventured around with my beautiful leather Free People backpack. Oh, and the shoes... I bought these a few years ago on sale at Urban Outfitter for $10!! Such a steal and I still wear them all of the time. I felt so fun and girly running around in this dress by the beach, and I can't wait to continue collecting tropical pieces for the summer.

New Mules & a Girly Dress

Hello readers!!

I have been doing some minor work on my blog this week, and attempting to truly understand more about building a website. I hope you appreciate some of the new content and changes. I am proud to say I have figured almost everything out on my own thus far, and it has been fun, but I do plan to make even bigger improvements to the site in the near future...so stay tuned! Anyway, back to my favorite topic...clothes!!

I just picked up this girly little Free People number last week, and I absolutely had to share! I threw this piece into my suitcase before my trip last week to the Midwest (which you can read more about in my last post), and I knew I would have to throw it on for some pictures if I got the chance. I'm having fun playing around with this piece. I love the raspberry color of the dress, and the simplicity of the shape, but the pattern is what makes it so unique and fun. I was so excited when I tried this dress on it was long enough for me (most dresses are short on me). However, I still think I will throw this piece over jeans on a cooler day and it will be just as adorable.

I wanted to dress the slip up a bit, so I paired it with my new mules from Urban Outfitters, which are so so comfortable. I have been eyeing these beauties for weeks and I finally snagged them up at Urban Outfitters when I had the chance last week! I love the mild brown color of the mules, and the chunky heel, which definitely makes for a more casual heel. I thought the look needed just one more touch, so I grabbed a straw hat (sticking with the casual theme), and it was perfect for the shoot!

I love investing in pieces like this dress, which I know I will be able to feature in a colder season layered with a sweater, or over some jeans, and this will really show the diversity of the piece. I hope you all enjoyed this summer look. You can shop for yourself by clicking the links below!

Also, I have to give a shout out to my lovely cousin, who again was the amazing photographer behind these pictures!
