My Newest Novella

Hello readers :)

I hope everyone had as great of a weekend as I did! I was in the beautiful state of Montana, which I will talk all about in my next post (and share all of the beautiful pictures of course). However, for now I'd like to gush over my newest Novella Royale piece... this skirt!! I love this company and the unique prints they are known for. Their clothes are a bit pricey, but they are hand made in California and are absolutely beautiful. Every time I wear one of their pieces I get so many compliments and people wondering where I found such amazing, detailed prints. I love all of Novella's printed bells (which is definitely the piece they are most well known for), but when I saw this skirt, I melted.

The skirt hits at the perfect spot for a cute little crop top, and I love how the back ties up so that it is slightly adjustable. The skirt is nice and long, which is great for me. I am almost 5'8" and this is the extra small, which almost hits the floor on me. I would imagine anyone shorter would need to get it hemmed a bit (totally worth the purchase though, I promise). I love this piece with this crochet crop top shown here, but I also love it with a looser graphic tee thrown over it. I am so happy with this purchase and I know I will get some good wear out of this beauty this summer.

I would definitely check out the brand, and consider investing in one of their unique pieces! If the price seems a little too high I would look at Target or Forever 21 because I have seem some similar looking pieces there for much cheaper!

Some New Fringe

Hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I have had a very busy few weeks, but I managed to squeeze in a little photo shoot the other day when I was out. One of my most recent purchases (and obsessions) is this fringe kimono by Spell Designs. I die over anything fringe, and I am also a big proponent of the kimono, so this purchase was a no brainer! If you haven't heard of Spell, you should definitely look them up! The company is run out of Australia but has a huge presence in America as well. The brand designs gypsy inspired clothes and accessories and channels every girls inner bohemian spirit. I am constantly searching this site for new pieces, and my next addition will definitely be a piece with one of their amazing gypsy prints.

I paired the kimono with another Voile and Lace Trapeze Slip from Free People. I know... I have way too many colors of this dress, but it's just such a great staple to have! I throw this piece on with a slip as a cute little dress, over jeans for a tunic look, and under a sweater for a layered look. I have been eyeing this blackberry color for a while. and I am loving it with the cream colored kimono!

I wore my favorite Oliviera Wrap Sandals, and a simple drop necklace from Urban Outfitters to complete the look!

Details below as usual! xo

Strappy Glads & Lacy Slips

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry for my lack of posts lately, but I have been so busy with work and with my big move from one house to another (still in San Diego). The funny thing is that I have been still doing a ton of (online) shopping and have some great pieces to share with you all!

I was definitely hesitant to jump onto the tall gladiator trend, but after long consideration I went for it, and I love the pair I got! I ordered this strappy black pair from Free People, and after wearing these babies around and seeing how they turn out in pictures I have determined that these sandals were made for people like me with long skinny calves. I looked through a lot of tall gladiators before finding these adjustable ones, that would allow me to tighten them to my liking. I have also noticed that almost all of the sandals I have are brown or tan so I had to go for the black this time. These shoes are not only comfortable, but they make quite a statement, and because of this I wanted to pair them with a fairly simple piece.

I picked up this beautiful lace slip from For Love & Lemons, and it is seriously EVERYTHING. I have been throwing it on under my tunics and some of my dresses, to show just a little bit of lace. However, with such elaborate sandals I decided to wear the slip alone (gasp). But don't worry, I wore a white Free People slip underneath as well. I also paired the top with a beautiful St. Eve's Jewelry piece to top it off, with a stone that matched my lipstick perfectly.

Of course I had to throw on some silver, featuring this beautiful arrow cuff by The 2 Bandits (who I have been obsessing over lately). I love all of their Southwestern style jewelry, and this cuff is the perfect addition to any outfit.

I hope everyone had a great week and has a beautiful weekend! I am going to have an even busier week next week (with my boyfriend and I both having a birthday), but I promise to share more of my new clothes as soon as I can!

Feeling Floral

What a beautiful few weeks it has been in San Diego, and I am loving bringing out all of my floral prints for spring! I love these little Top Shop shorts, with a funky floral print and some black lace trim. I bought these shorts last spring, and they have remained one of my favorite floral pieces.

Oh and THIS TOP.... Free People just got this beauty in, and I obviously had to have it. I love the delicate lace details in the front and the ties in the back. This is the perfect little summer top, and I love how it contrasts with the floral shorts. However, at night I threw on jeans with the top and it was an instant outfit. I love tops with a lot of detail like this because I don't feel like I need a necklace or any additional piece on top to complete the look!

I really enjoy taking my pictures down by the beach, and my style definitely reflects my love for the sun and the ocean. I currently live 10 minutes from the beach, but on Friday I will be moving 2 miles from the beach! I will be living in a new part of San Diego, and this will provide me with a whole new set of local spots to take my blog pictures!

I hope everyone has a great week! Outfit details below :)
