Spring To It

Happy Spring!

I know I've been pretty absent on the blog lately, but I HAD to share this jumpsuit and some news with you all... If you follow me on Instagram I'm sure you've noticed how much Flynn Skye I've been wearing lately, so I wanted to explain!

One day I was scrolling through my email at lunch and received a message from Flynn Skye that I had won their most recent giveaway (which was a gift card for a very large amount)... At first I thought this must have been spam since I didn't remember entering any giveaway. But, sure enough, I had purchased something a week prior and my email address was randomly chosen! I couldn't believe it...

A few weekends later I made my way up to their store in Venice with a girl friend and we spent hours shopping. You guys... not only is their store the dreamiest space I've ever seen, but they have the coolest team! I went to a sample sale last weekend in LA and was able to meet the owner of this brand. I thanked her for the gift card I won and she gave me a big hug and explained how much she loves being able to give back to her customers. If you haven't checked them out, do it, do it, DO IT!

I chose to share this jumpsuit because out of all of my pick-ups that day, this jumpsuit takes the freaking cake. It's one of those pieces that looks cute on the hanger, but then you get it on and it exceeds all of your expectations. It fits me perfectly. The legs are long enough for me to wear booties, and the open back/choker combo is just fire...

These photos were taken in Northern California in front of some almond trees (who know almonds could be so pretty, right?), which felt like the perfect backdrop for this pretty print. I wanted to play the look down, but keep it simple, so I threw on an over sized denim jacket and called it a day.

Now I'll let the jumpsuit do the talking...

In the Heat of Fall

I can't believe it's already mid-November! In most places this means it's about time to pull out the scarves, chunky sweaters, and cozy socks. But, here in San Diego it's a bit too hot for that type of wear. I know that sounds crazy, but it's all part of living in this beautiful city, and we all manage to find a way to make it work (or melt trying).

So how do I still dress for fall in the heat? Stick with fall colors, but add some summer touches. I am all about a good pair of Levi's, and these black ones are perfect for fall/winter. If it was actually cold I might have paired these with a big sweater, or long sleeve top. But, instead I wore a sweet little off-the-shoulder top with a pretty floral print. P.s. This brand is a MUST SHOP (see below).

I would have loved to throw on some booties with this look, but in this heat sandals were the way to go. All I needed was a little heel to take the look from casual to classy. Then comes the jacket... I know this is warm guys but I just had to pull this baby out of the closet. The secret is to drape it on your shoulders or hold it to the side when it's too hot. Might get a little toasty at times, but worth it to complete the look ;)

Throw on some jewels and grab your favorite fridge bag, and voila! A cute fall look for a hot November day.

Happy Friday!

Another Off the Shoulder Dress

Happy Friday, friends!

Last weekend I visited my boyfriend's family in Northern California, and made sure to bring along something new to blog about! I just bought this off the shoulder dress from Urban Outfitters and am so obsessed (plus it was perfect for the hot weather)! The print it so cute & girly, and the slits up the sides add just the right amount of edge. Of course I paired the dress with strappy sandals + a bunch of my favorite jewels.

Flirty Summer Look

Hi friends!

I'm finally back in blog action! Life has been so busy the last few months... new job, old job, vacations, and family/friends visiting. I know times like these are when it would be easy to give up this hobby, but I just love it too much! I started this blog because I have a passion for clothes and I love sharing it, and I told myself as long as this is fun for me, there's no reason to stop. So here I am!

I have so many summer looks to share, it was hard to choose which was first, but I decided to go with this sweet little Free People romper! I wouldn't say my style is particularly girly, but I'm definitely not afraid to play around with girly looks. The blue & pink pattern combined with the ruffled details make the look feel very sweet. I was also happy to find a romper that is long enough for these long legs (hard to do these days...)! There is a tie at the bust that can be tied in the front or back (I went with back), and the plunging neckline calls for a cute little cami underneath.

I paired the romper with some delicate, light-colored necklaces, a fringe bag (of course), and some cute chunky sandals. I love wearing light looks like this during the hot summer days, and can't wait to get some more wear out of this baby!

Beach Daze

Happy Fri-YAY!

I'm about to head out of town for the the long weekend (woop woop!), but before I do I wanted to share one of my favorite summer looks - ripped jeans + bare feet! I can't tell you how many pairs of ripped jeans I own. I live in these during the spring/summer seasons. The jeans pictured are from Brandy Melville and are the most distressed ones I own (also the ones I wear the most). I had no idea how often I would grab these (even though strangers always ask me, "Did you buy those like that? LOL"), but I LOVE everything about them!

I paired the jeans with a super delicate embroidered top from Free People + a Wildfox sweater to throw on top! And for the shoes, you ask? None! I take my shoes off any chance I get, and the beach is the perfect place to let your feet breathe and feel your toes in the sand.

This look is comfortable, casual, and I just feel like ME! That's the best feeling, when you find a look that just feels right. Although sometimes I will go for a more chic look, this beachy San Diego look will always be a go-to!

Happy Memorial Day babes!

Suede Day

Happy Fri-YAY!

It's been such a crazy week... this girl is SO ready for the weekend! But first, I want to share a new 'fit of course. My birthday was last month, and my sweet, stylish mother took it upon herself to pick me out a few outfits.. and she killed it! In fact, she picked these two out together and I think I squealed when I opened them up. My mom has been trying so hard to understand my style for the last few years (which is not easy because it's always changing...), and this is the most spot on she has ever been!

I am a sucker for anything lace-up right now, so the top was an obvious winner. Not to mention, the detailing in the sleeves & bust is amazing. The skirt is actually one that I had been eyeing at Free People for a few months, but never got my hands on. I know the combo seems quite fall-ish, but I'm a firm believer in rocking neutrals all year long. I can see myself grabbing the skirt this summer with a crop top and denim jacket, and pairing the top with some levi cut-offs (of course).

I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!

Left Coast Best Coast

Hello loves!

I can't believe it's almost May... I'm sorry for the lack of posting for the past month, life has just been crazy busy! I just wrapped up a month at my new job, I'm still working at Free People (super part-time), and I usually fill all of my free time in with trying to have a social life. However, I definitely want to make sure I make more time for blogging in May.

I have SO many outfits to share this month, but I thought I would start with something that's back from the past... denim minis! The high-waisted mini has been in style for quite some time now, but the low-rise style (that I wore in 8th grade) is one I thought might never come back. I bought the skirt in black so that it can be paired with almost anything, and I love it here with a loose Amuse Society tee. It's soft, has a pocket, and is the perfect fit.

I love that I have almost completely shifted to wearing summer clothes, and I can't wait to share more!
