San Francisco

Happy Friday everyone!

Today I want to share some pics from my recent girls weekend in San Francisco. I headed up to the city for an extended weekend trip with 3 of my best friends from college. I had been to the city once before for a short trip, but there was so much I hadn't seen! Of course I headed to all of the tourist spots: The Golden Gate Bridge, Dolores Park, The Painted Ladies, etc. But, I was also able to check out some local spots. One of my girlfriends actually lives in the city so we were lucky enough to have a place to stay (and a beautiful tour guide).

It was pouring rain the first two days, but that didn't stop us from exploring the city. I loved all of the street art and the alleys filled with murals and artwork. Obviously, I found these to be the perfect backdrop for some OOTD pics, and I tried my best to channel my inner street style during this trip. I was so excited to bust out a leather jacket I just got, along with my bean and some new sweaters that I haven't been able to wear in San Diego lately.

The view of the Golden Gate Bridge was amazing, and the view of the city from Dolores Park was breathtaking... but, let's talk about the shopping!! Of course I made sure to set aside some shopping time in Union Square. The Levi's store there is NEXT LEVEL!! This is also where I found the coolest patched denim jacket (my favorite purchase from the trip) pictured below. I popped into a few boutique shops, and loved seeing the SF street style that the local's rocked. Although my style tends to be more boho than chic, I definitely love to experiment with my street style whenever I find myself in a big city!

The rest of my trip consisted of eating amazing food, enjoying happy hour drinks, and staying up all night giggling with my best friends. This was definitely a MUCH needed trip, and I can't wait to return back to the city one day for more adventures!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'll be prepping for the start of my NEW JOB on Monday! Can't wait to share all the deets.

Spring Essentials

Happy spring babes!!

My wardrobe caters to warm weather, so I'm pretty excited about this change in season, and I wanted to share an outfit featuring some of my favorite spring styles. One of my go-to styles this spring/summer will definitely be off-the-shoulder tops, and this Free People one hits the spot. I love the simplicity of the top, and I know I will get a ton of wear out of it.
I paired the top with some Levi cut-offs and my tall black gladiators. Let's be honest... you can never have enough denim cut-offs, and Levis has been killin' it lately. And when it comes to shoes, you'll always find me in some type of strappy sandal or some Birks.

I was super excited to feature this adorable cactus choker and fringe cross-body because I actually just won them in an Instagram giveaway! These pieces are totally my style and I can't wait to show them off all season long. I will always have some sort of fringe on my purse, and I am going through a major choker obsession at the moment, so these two styles are definitely on my list of spring essentials.

I will be blogging later this week about my girls trip to San Francisco last weekend (and all of the amazing walls I found in the city), but for now here's some more pics of my spring look!

Spring Fling

Warmer weather means it's time for little dresses, and I couldn't wait to bust this Flynn Skye goodness out of my closet. I've had this dress since last season, but it's such a classic piece. The floral print is gorgeous, the cut is perfect, and I feel like summertime when I wear it.

I paired the dress with some clogs and some silver bracelets (per usual). I also threw on one of my lovely leather neck ties to add a little bit of edge to this girly look.

I am so excited to continue to transition into more spring and summer inspired looks, and document them along the way of course!

Crisscross Denim Sauce

 Hello readers!

So I'm pretty sure it's already summertime here in San Diego (just ask the weather), and that has put me in MAJOR beach mode. This weekend I spent my time outside in shorts and a tank top soaking up the beautiful sunshine, so it was only fitting I shot some pics by the beach!

My grandparents lived in La Jolla so I grew up very familiar with the area, and I still frequent this quaint little park with an amazing view (and beach access of course). The wind started to blow right before I started shooting, but this totally worked in my favor. I was laughing the whole time and the lighting made for some killer shots. I apologize for the overload of photos, but there were just too many good ones!

Now for the clothes... YES YES YES to denim mini's! I wondered how long this trend would last, but to my surprise the style seems to be here to stay (for a while at least). I love how many different ways the mini can be styled and it is a great cut for taller girls. If you live somewhere colder I would try the skirt with some tights, over the knee boots, and a cute jacket. I bought this mini from Urban Outfitters, and I will definitely be going back for the lighter wash. I paired the skirt with a comfortable crisscross cami from Free People (that I bought in multiple colors obviously). This top is perfect with high-rise jeans, shorts, a maxi skirt, etc. The possibilities are endless, and it's so affordable!!

Of course I topped my outfit off with some Western inspired silver & turquoise from The 2Bandits and some rad purple Ray-Bans.

Jump[suit]ing into Spring

I know it's February, but this weather is straight springtime, and I'm already dressing the part. I love myself a good jumpsuit, and this bright red color makes a serious statement. The cropped cut of this jumpsuit is perfect for a taller, long legged girl like myself. The legs are wide, the embroidery is lovely, and THERE ARE POCKETS... Sold. Am I right?

I paired the jumpsuit with some strappy sandals, and my new fringe cross-body. At night I would throw a denim jacket over the suit, or a leather jacket for an edgier look.

SPRING it on! xx
